Wyoming Whiskey, recognized as the state’s first legal distillery, is celebrating Grand Teton National Park in its newest limited-edition release: National Parks No. 5 Straight Bourbon Whiskey: A Tribute to the Tetons. This special bottle continues the distillery’s tradition of honoring America’s most iconic landscapes while supporting the organizations that care for them.
The National Parks Series was created to reflect Wyoming Whiskey’s love for wild places and their commitment to protecting them. Past releases have highlighted Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Acadia national parks. For this fifth edition, they once again teamed up with Grand Teton National Park Foundation to craft a bourbon that supports the our ongoing work to protect the park.
Wyoming Whiskey co-founder David DeFazio describes this shared mission best:
“For those of you who've been following Wyoming Whiskey over the years, you're aware of our ongoing commitment to the preservation of wide-open spaces. The cornerstone of our commitment is the support of our National Parks. Over the last four years, we have made donations to Yellowstone Forever, the Grand Teton National Park Foundation, and Friends of Acadia, the philanthropic partners of each Park.
With National Parks No. 5, we feature Grand Teton with a historic image by Thomas Moran titled The Three Tetons. This straight bourbon whiskey is five years old, bottled at 96 proof, and I must say is hitting all the right notes with the flavor profile.”
Like all Wyoming Whiskey products, this release is made exclusively with locally sourced ingredients, shaped by Wyoming’s harsh weather patterns and the extremes of high-desert aging. Five years in hand-selected barrels brings forward rich, dessert-like layers creating notes of baked honey crullers, almond, and cherry liqueur—followed by a warm, lingering finish of cinnamon spice, espresso, milk chocolate, and leather. It’s a flavor profile that feels both refined and rooted in the rugged landscapes that inspired it.
Adding even more meaning to this release is the bottle itself, which features The Three Tetons, painted in 1895 by British-American artist Thomas Moran. Known for capturing the spirit of the American West, Moran depicts the snow-covered Teton range rising beyond a quiet stream and towering pines.
To celebrate National Parks No. 5, Wyoming Whiskey has donated $4 for every bottle sold, totaling $50,000 in support of the Foundation’s work to protect Grand Teton National Park, enrich visitor experiences, and ensure long-term stewardship of this extraordinary place.
We’re grateful for Wyoming Whiskey’s continued partnership and for their dedication to preserving the landscapes that define Wyoming. This release not only pays tribute to the Tetons, it directly supports their future.
