Upcoming Seasonal Facility Closures in Grand Teton

Upcoming Seasonal Facility Closures in Grand Teton
The visitor center at Jenny Lake has closed for the 2021 season.

Temperatures in the Tetons have dipped below freezing at night as autumn takes hold. Most park facilities, including the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center, will cease seasonal operations over the course of the next month and will soon be closed until spring returns. Other facilities, such as campgrounds, convenience stores, and gas stations, will close throughout the month, as well.

Highway 89/191 through Grand Teton National Park remains open year round, but Teton Park Road will close to vehicles at the end of October and be open only to pedestrian traffic until reopening in spring. The Foundation is happy to share we will continue supporting winter grooming of Teton Park Road for the ninth consecutive year when snow conditions allow—providing an enjoyable visitor experience for skiers, snowshoers, and walkers.

For the most up to date details on park facility and road closures, visit the park’s website.

We hope you enjoy this quieter time in the park before the winter season begins!
