Trail Talk: Life on the crew of Grand Teton National Park’s Youth Conservation Program – Week 9

This week, the crew had a major accomplishment for the Jenny Lake Renewal Project. With drawknives and wood chisels, YCP peeled and prepped the logs for the Hidden Falls Bridge. Many blisters and sore muscles were had in the process, but the crew is excited that the logs are ready to be flown into the bridge site!

In addition to to the bridge project, the crew continued work on the fence at Colter Bay. YCP also had the opportunity to ride the tram at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to complete work on the Granite Canyon trail. It was a busy week for the crew and it is hard to believe that this time next week their summer of work will be finished!
