Trail Talk: Life on the crew of Grand Teton National Park’s Youth Conservation Program – Week 6

This week, the crew members brushed up on their medical knowledge and took a Wilderness First Aid Course through the Wilderness Medical Institute branch of NOLS. This two day course provided essential backcountry first aid training.

The second portion of the week, the crew assisted in building a handicap accessible trail at Mormon Row. The crew also performed trail maintenance around Grandview Point and Christian Ponds. Highlights of the week included watching a large thunderstorm roll in and enjoying the cool temperatures provided by overcast skies and rain. We cannot believe we are already halfway through the season!
