Grand Teton National Park Foundation is delighted to share that the renewed Moose Landing is fully open to the public for the 2025 boating season. As one of the most popular river access points in Grand Teton National Park, Moose Landing has undergone a significant transformation as part of the multi-year Snake River Gateways project—and this season marks the first time visitors can experience the full scope of improvements in place.
This year, the majority of final construction elements at Moose Landing have been completed, officially opening the site for full use. The enhanced facility now includes two new landing areas upstream of a newly installed concrete boat ramp, designed to increase the capacity and safety of watercraft launching and retrieval. These new features were completed late last fall and now available for the first full season of use. There are a few final touches that the park is working on this summer, with the site anticipated to be finished this fall.

In addition to functional upgrades, the site also features a new flush-toilet restroom. This added amenity addresses long-standing needs for improved sanitation infrastructure at this busy access point and contributes to a more welcoming and accommodating experience for all.
Beyond the core infrastructure, the Foundation and park partners have invested in aesthetic and interpretive improvements. These include masonry walls, interpretive signage, and donor recognition elements that bring consistency to the design themes implemented at Jenny Lake, Jackson Lake Dam, and Pacific Creek Landing.

The National Park Service and Grand Teton National Park Foundation have been working together for the last several years to enhance access along the Snake River, and this multiyear project has received tremendous support. The Foundation was able to raise $7.5 million, which was combined with $6.85 million from the National Park Service. This funding has allowed for a level of excellence in the project that would not have been achievable otherwise. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this project a reality!
Snake River Gateways was initiated in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act and the tenth anniversary of the wild and scenic designation of the headwaters of the Snake River. The project's enhancements include improving three access points along the river: Moose Landing, Pacific Creek Landing, which was completed in 2021, and Jackson Lake Dam, which was completed in 2022. Visitors have been making good use of the renewed access points at Jackson Lake Dam, Pacific Creek Landing, and Moose Landing with excellent results. We hope you get out on the river this summer to see the improvements!
