It's that time of year again. Grand Teton National Park may be open year-round, but now is when the park begins seasonal closures of certain areas. Don't be discouraged though, this just opens new opportunities to explore and experience the beauty of the Tetons. As the autumn winds down, so comes winter and it's wonders—cloudy days and cold nights alternating with rain and occasional snow storms.
The Foundation is happy to share we will continue supporting winter grooming of Teton Park Road for the eleventh consecutive year when snow conditions allow—providing an enjoyable visitor experience for skiers, snowshoers, and walkers. We will aim to start grooming in mid-December, stay tuned for updates!
From October through April, some roads, all campgrounds, and most visitor facilities are closed or have reduced hours. For the most up-to-date details on all park facility and road closures, visit the park’s website. All dates are subject to change.
