Adventure Journal: Park Facilities Close for Season

It has been a cold October in the Tetons this year with temperatures already dipping into the single digits. Most park facilities, including the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center, will soon be closed until spring returns.

Highway 89/191 through Grand Teton National Park remains open year round, but Teton Park Road will close to vehicles tomorrow (November 1st) and be open only to pedestrian traffic during the winter. The Foundation is happy to share we will continue supporting winter grooming of Teton Park Road for the sixth consecutive year when snow conditions allow.

For the most up to date details on park facility and road closures, visit the park’s website https://www.nps.gov/grte/planyourvisit/hours.htm

We hope you enjoy this quieter time in the park before the winter season begins!
