Work Underway at Jackson Lake Dam

Renewal efforts at Jackson Lake Dam, the second of three project sites to be improved by our Snake River Gateways campaign, are underway. Work began this spring to enhance parking and traffic flow; create an accessible pathway to the river; provide opportunities for visitors to learn more about the history of the site; install a two-lane boat ramp; and build accessible fishing platforms so people in wheel chairs can more easily experience fishing on the Snake River.

River access below Jackson Lake Dam has been available to recreationists for the majority of the summer season while work is in process. The launch area will be closed starting September 2 through the completion of the project so the new boat ramp can be installed during periods of lower water levels this fall.

Thanks for your patience while we renew this well-loved site in Grand Teton!
