2026 Youth Conservation Program is Hiring!

Are you or someone you know between the ages of 16 and 19 and interested in working outdoors this summer? The 2026 Youth Conservation Program at Grand Teton National Park is now hiring. Participants will gain hands-on experience while helping care for one of the country's most iconic landscapes.

The Youth Conservation Program (YCP) was established in 2006 in partnership with Grand Teton National Park. This program aims to cultivate the next generation of conservation leaders, aligning with the National Park Service's core mission of fostering a land ethic and appreciation for the outdoors among young people.

YCP is an immersive program that employs sixteen to nineteen-year-olds on the park's trail crew, allowing them to work on critical stewardship projects. Along with developing job skills, the program also supports aspiring leaders as they make important career and lifestyle decisions.

As a participant in YCP, you can expect to engage in a diverse range of activities, including building bridges and benches to clearing large trees and debris resulting from avalanches or big wind events. In a short period of time, you will learn and apply a wide variety of trail-building skills while also being introduced to the numerous career opportunities available in national parks.
