Celebrating Twenty Years of the Youth Conservation Program

YCP TURNS TWENTY!

The Youth Conservation Program (YCP) is a partnership project between Grand Teton National Park Foundation and Grand Teton National Park that employs sixteen-to nineteen-year-olds on the park's trail crew for ten weeks during the summer. Over the last twenty years, nearly 350 young people have participated and helped care for Grand Teton National Park through their hard work, dedication, and stewardship. They've improved trails, contributed to meaningful park projects, and left a lasting mark on this place we all care about. But perhaps the most important impact is the one that can't be measured in miles of trail or hours of service. It's the confidence gained, the leadership skills developed, the careers inspired, and the lasting commitment to conservation that participants carry with them long after their summer in Grand Teton. The best way to understand that impact is to hear directly from the people who have experienced it. We are thrilled to share these stories through the short video above.

Thanks to the many individuals, foundations, and corporations who have made YCP possible over the last twenty years! Learn more about the program.
