Make a Gift Bear Box

The Grand Teton National Park Foundation is working with park staff over the next year to prioritize technology initiatives in the park.

Primary focus will be paid to the redesign and organization of the Grand Teton National Park website and making enhancements to include downloadable features such as short video segments and podcasts. Approximately 6 to 10 newly produced video segments lasting about two to five minutes each will offer educational information about the park such as bear safety, various ecosystem and wildlife topics, cultural and historical background as well as just general visitor information about the park. Once produced and placed on the Internet, the videos can be viewed and downloaded on desktop and laptop computers and can be distributed through services such as iTunes. Additionally, the park plans to install kiosks in the visitor centers so visitors can view the video segments or download them while in the Park. Future goals might also include enhanced wayside exhibits that would include interactive features as well as web cams that would provide and insiders’ view into wolf dens or other wildlife in the Park.
