  • String Lake Brigade has Successful Pilot Season in Grand Teton

    In 2016, Grand Teton National Park developed a program to help protect wildlife and promote visitor safety around the popular String Lake area. With a team of approximately 14 wildlife stewards, Grand Teton formed the String Lake Volunteer Brigade.

    Our new formal historic preservation volunteer program—Grand Teton Hammer Corps—just completed its pilot year. Hammer Corps provides a great opportunity for the public to connect to the history of Grand Teton while addressing critical repairs to historic structures and landscapes throughout the park.
